Female founders. Small-batch pieces. Big point of view.
Every March, I like to put my attention—and my dollars—on women building beautiful things with intention. This is my short list of women-owned brands I love: female founders, small-batch pieces, and a big point of view (the kind you can feel the second you put it on).
Here are four women-owned brands I’ve collaborated with and genuinely admire—each with taste, integrity, and a point of view.
Cabine Monde—Amber Collins
If your style leans “elevated, but not fussy,” Cabine Monde will make immediate sense.
Amber Collins creates jewelry that’s refined, modern, and easy to wear every day—the kind of piece that makes a plain tee look intentional. Her designs have that subtle polish that doesn’t shout, but does get noticed.
What I love most: Amber’s story is rooted in experience and resilience. She’s spent years in fashion (as a model and agent) and built Cabine Monde with a calm confidence that shows up in the work—clean lines, thoughtful details, and zero throwaway energy.
Luvons—Ifen Carlson
Confession: I used to think all slippers were either…cute or supportive. Then I met Luvons.
Ifen Carlson built Luvons after leaving corporate life and doing something I deeply respect—she asked women what they actually wanted. Not “what’s trending,” not “what’s cheapest.” Real-life needs. She spoke with hundreds of women and designed a slipper that feels good, looks good, and holds up.
They’re chic enough to answer the door in. Comfortable enough to wear for hours. And yes—machine washable, because we live in the real world.
The Checkroom—Liz Williams
A truly great coat is one of the most underrated wardrobe power moves.
Liz Williams founded The Checkroom with a clear point of view: buy fewer pieces, buy better ones—especially when it comes to outerwear. Her coats are made from 100% wool, produced in the USA, and designed to feel timeless rather than “this season.”
What I appreciate is how grounded the brand is in real garment values: material integrity, craftsmanship, and longevity. These are coats you’ll reach for year after year, because they’re built to last—and built to look good doing it.
Bambina Swim—Diana Kerins + Janet St Cyr
Bambina Swim is a mother-daughter brand (Diana Kerins and Janet St Cyr) that brings together ease, confidence, and care for the places that inspire the line.
Their swimwear is made with eco-friendly fabrics and a portion of proceeds from their resortwear goes to help protect and preserve the destinations that inspired the collections—so the brand is not just “vacation vibes,” it’s values in practice.
What I love about Bambina is how wearable it is: flattering, unfussy, and genuinely confidence-boosting—swim that feels like an easy yes.
Where to Put Your Money
This is the part where I’m supposed to say “happy shopping,” but honestly: I hope this inspires you to shop a little more intentionally.
Women’s History Month (and International Women’s Day) is a reminder that every purchase is a vote for who and what we want more of. These are four women-led brands I’m proud to share, because their work has staying power.
If you click through, tell me what product or founder story resonates with you most—I’m always curious what sparks a connection.
