The pandemic forced all of us to readjust and Lacson Ravello was no different. The new normal became something akin to wearing unstructured lounge pants, and the notion of wearing anything but still makes us squirm. As in-person activities and work resumed, our needs have changed.
Enter the culotte...
Why are culottes so popular? Neither a skirt nor a pair of pants, they're a hybrid of the two. Hovering somewhere between Bermuda shorts and capris and hitting a few inches below the knees, the flattering length brings attention to your ankles and favorite shoes. The flared leg is forgiving and versatile on most petite or tall body types.
Now culottes are nothing new. I’ve seen them come and go throughout the years. I first designed our Josephine culotte pant for my 2017 spring collection and have continued to improve it with each new season.
Why are our Josephine Culottes so popular?
The hemp and cotton blend is organic, eco-friendly and breathable. The flat-front waistband leaves the front super streamlined while the stretchy elastic back waistband is designed for relaxing or days jam-packed with zoom calls. Side pockets keep all of your essentials close at hand and back patch pockets are well-placed for a slimming effect. With a high waist and subtle A-line silhouette, the end result is exceptionally flattering.
