What’s going on in October
While I can’t believe it’s actually October (and that we’re still in a pandemic!), I’m welcoming it with open arms. The change of seasons, the shift to cooler weather, chunky sweaters with boots…….so much to look forward to. October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is very near and dear to me being a 3x breast cancer survivor.
With the move into a new season, I am leaning even heavier into our new way forward here at LR with lots of fun new features and series and events. We kicked off a new email series last week called “LR Community Series”, featuring our amazing customers wearing their favorite LR pieces in their natural habitat. We’re spotlighting a different women each Tuesday in October, so keep a look out for that!
We’re also prepping for our next in-person event at the MTHR Market on Saturday, November 13th from 1:30-5:30 at Autocamp, Russian River. We’re so excited to join in with other local Bay Area makers and artists! Come by and see us.
If there’s one thing I can leave you with today, it’s to schedule your annual mammogram! I am constantly surprised at how many woman don’t schedule their first mammogram when they turn 40 (or earlier if you have a family history of breast cancer.) My cancer was caught during a routine mammogram, not from me finding a lump, so without that routine mammogram I could have been in a very different situation. So please, schedule your mammo. (And don’t hesitate to email me if you have any questions about what to expect, I’m an open book.)
